The sights, the sounds, the tremble of the track, there is something truly special about an old-fashioned train experience.
The Capeflyer rail service from Boston to Cape Cod returns this summer! The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA), in cooperation with Massdot, will be operating the weekend summer seasonal service from Boston South Station to Hyannis on Cape Cod.
Trains to the Cape will run from South Station, Boston stopping in Braintree, Wareham Village, Buzzards Bay and Hyannis on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Once you arrive, you’ll have access to connections to buses, Island ferries and airlines.
So grab your seat and make yourself at home as you traverse along the picturesque countryside past the Great Salt Marsh, the iconic dunes of Sandy Neck, and the Cummaquid Golf Club. The trip from South Station to Hyannis includes a specially outfitted coach that will not only provide customers with a traffic-free trip, but also onboard concessions and refreshments, including bar service. This year the bike racks have come out of the Café car to accommodate more seating and there is a separate bike and luggage coach with bike tools so customers can tune them up onboard!.
Discover the magic for yourself, and start your Cape adventure onboard the Capeflyer.
