All aboard for a “one day rail excursion into the heart of the Canadian wilderness.” Relax in comfortable picture window coaches as you are transported on a 114-mile narrated journey through the same landscapes that inspired the Group of Seven. Travel over towering trestles and alongside pristine northern lakes and rivers as you wind through the awesome granite rock formations and mixed forests of the Canadian Shield. Your tour is highlighted with an hour and a half in beautiful Agawa Canyon Park, where you can enjoy scenic trails, a climb to the breathtaking lookout, cascading waterfalls or a quiet picnic lunch beside the Agawa River.

For the 2011 season the Canyon Tour will be sporting a brand new look and it’s more than a shiny new paint job! Along with new carpet and wall covering upgrades, extensive work has been completed to ensure that you have the best view possible with windows being increased in size, and all new tinted glass installed in the coaches. There is also a state of the art audio/video system including almost 200 flat screen monitors that will provide passengers with an ‘Engineer’s’ eye view thanks to locomotive mounted digital cameras.

To compliment this, a new GPS triggered tour commentary, available in five languages, will recall the history of the city and region and highlight important points along your journey. ‘Experience’ the Agawa Canyon Tour Train.
