Join Us In Our Mission!

For 25 years, Native American Heritage Association (NAHA) has been pivotal in responding to a quiet crisis among the Lakota (Sioux) on South Dakota Reservations. Founder David Myers began by delivering food and clothes in the back of a station wagon.

These Reservations are desolate and remote, remaining out of sight and headlines. With desperation, hope is lost. 80% unemployment and the 2nd lowest life expectancy in the Western Hemisphere are the reality these proud people face. Pine Ridge and Rosebud are not mythical names. They are tragically real.

Like most non-profits, NAHA faces dwindling donations but the problems are still urgent. It takes creativity to reach new donors and expand awareness.

In 2010, NAHA announced Rock Legends Cruise (a “cruise for a cause”), chartering an entire ship, creating a rock festival at sea. With over 20 artists and 4,000 friends, RLC is about to sail for the sixth time and just announced RLC VII. With accommodations for all budgets, this event sells out a year in advance!

Performers like Sammy Hagar, Thin Lizzy, ZZ Top, The Doobie Brothers, Alice Cooper, Bad Company, Peter Frampton, and more, make each cruise a blast, while raising awareness. Most of our passengers are of an age that placed them at Rock Revolution’s beginning and who appreciate our artists’ iconic stature.
