MSC Divina Makes Her Captivating Caribbean Debut
After crossing the Atlantic from Venice, Italy to Miami, the striking MSC Divina began a new era for MSC Cruises, sailing year-round for the first time in the Caribbean. MSC Divina, a ship inspired by screen legend Sophia Loren, sails to tropical destinations such as the Cayman Islands, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
A family-owned company whose seafaring history was born in the Mediterranean, MSC Cruises still draws inspiration from its roots. MSC Divina is no exception, offering countless pleasures of the Mediterranean way of life. Through a partnership with EATALY, the Italy-based food emporium, guests can now enjoy a boutique marketplace and two new EATALY restaurants: Eataly Steakhouse, modeled after the popular Manzo Ristorante in Manhattan, and the upscale Ristorante Italia. In addition, EATALY’s famed pizza is offered in La Cantina di Bacco Wine Bar & Pizzeria. The critically acclaimed EATALY has restaurants worldwide with an emphasis on local, artisanal producers and sustainable sourcing.
The gold and black Segafredo Coffee Bar offers another authentic taste of Italy with expert baristas serving cappuccino and luscious specialty drinks such as Cherry Chocolate and Caramel Coffee Frost. For those who love sweets, MSC Divina offers a Venchi gelateria in the Piazza del Doge and the Aqua Park. Since 1878, these masters of Italian confectionary have been creating all-natural chocolates and desserts. Venchi gelato is made fresh daily aboard MSC Divina, with flavors ranging from pistachio to mango. And the Venchi passion for pure chocolate is evident in several variations, from chocolate chips in natural vanilla to milk and dark chocolate.
Known for Mediterranean elegance and style, MSC Divina features a lobby graced with two dazzling Swarovski crystal staircases; the plush silver and red Pantheon Theater with world-class entertainment; and numerous beautifully-designed bars and lounges featuring live music throughout the ship. Guests can enjoy Balinese massage in the exotic MSC Aurea Spa or a refreshing workout in the oceanview fitness center. What’s more, an aquacycling class is offered for the first time at sea, in the infinity pool overlooking the ship’s wake.
The North American debut of MSC Divina offers another first for MSC Cruises––the first time the exclusive MSC Yacht Club has been available in the Caribbean. Featuring 69 luxury suites complete with 24/7 Butler and Concierge service, the MSC Yacht Club includes a complimentary selection of wines and spirits, a private restaurant, lounge, pool and bar. Plus, it offers the one and only Sophia Loren Royal Suite, designed by the actress herself, the godmother of MSC Cruises.
