Extra Horsepower For The World’s Finest Driving Sunglass

In the automotive world, the word touring is used to describe cars that deftly balance luxury, high performance and – typically – sleek design. Combining precision optics; proprietary frame technology and modern aesthetics, sunglasses in the new Serengeti Touring collection possess attributes similar to their four-wheeled namesakes.

All three Touring collection models – Udine, Rivoli and Empoli – feature Serengeti’s exclusive Wire-Flex frame technology. Designed to gently conform to the contours of the wearer’s face, Wire-Flex frames feature temples made with a highly flexible and strong blend of nickel, silver and stainless steel. Frame fronts are light and durable Grilamid TR90. The mix of materials helps keep the overall weight low, which works with the Wire-Flex temples to increase comfort.

Fitted to all Touring sunglasses, Ultra-Light glass lenses are a full 20% thinner and lighter. Made with borosilicate optical glass from Corning®, these lenses are chemically tempered for scratch and impact resistance. Available in two versatile tints, the lenses incorporate three technologies to optimize common interactions with light, reducing eye strain and improving visual acuity:

Photochromic Pioneered by Serengeti, this technology instantly adjusts tint to compensate for changing light conditions.

Spectral control Manages specific colors in the light spectrum to sharpen contrasts.

Advanced Polarized Surface technology A proprietary process delivers up to 98% polarizing efficiency and removes any possibility of delaminating.

“The Touring collection is the ultimate expression of Serengeti’s commitment to making the sunglasses that work great behind the wheel and – of course – everywhere else,” said Dani LaGace, Global Director of Eyewear. “Just as the finest automobiles combine the newest and best technologies with flawless engineering, so too do Serengeti Touring collection sunglasses.”

While all three models have modern design cues blended with traditional touches, each has its own distinct personality.

Udine has a rounded profile adding a retro touch to a look that is very much up to date. Frame finishes include: Shiny Marble Cut Black, Brown Frost Fade, Shiny/Satin Black and Shiny Black.

Rivoli has a more angular shape that evokes streamlined urgency. Frame finishes include: Satin Brown/Black Tortoise, Shiny Black, Satin Black Tortoise and Satin Black.

Empoli splits the difference with its Touring Collection stable mates with a graceful combination of not-too-straight lines and gentle curves. Frame finishes include: Satin Black Tortoise, Brown Frost Fade, Shiny Black and Shiny Dark Tortoise.

Available now, the three Touring collection models are priced at $289.99. For more information, visit www.serengeti-eyewear.com
